Spelt rolls

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 350 g flour (spelt or 100 g spelt + 250 g wheat)
  • 1 tsp bread spice mix
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 packet of yeast (dry yeast)
  • 250 ml water, lukewarm
  • possibly sesame or sunflower or pumpkin seeds

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Mix the flour with the bread seasoning. Add the remaining ingredients and knead in a food processor on high for about 10 minutes. The dough doesn’t need to rise, but I always put it on the tiled stove for about half an hour (or an oven works, too). Shape the dough into 7-8 rolls and place them in a COLD oven. Preheat the oven to 200°C (top and bottom heat) and bake for 30 minutes. Tip: You can sprinkle the rolls with sesame, sunflower, or pumpkin seeds before baking.
