Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 500 g flour
- 10 g salt
- 120 g seeds to taste
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 cube of yeast
- 450 ml water, lukewarm
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes
Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, seeds, and apple cider vinegar. Crumble the yeast into the warm water (e.g., in a measuring jug) and dissolve while stirring. Add the yeast water to the flour mixture while stirring, and knead the dough well for at least 3 minutes. Pour into a greased pan (I always use a loaf pan) and bake in the oven for 1 hour. The bread can be varied greatly. The taste always varies depending on the type of flour and seeds. I think you could also make it without seeds (feel free to give feedback), but since we love seeds, this is a MUST for us. Our mix usually consists of pure rye or spelt flour, and sometimes half and half, and our seed mix is always sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, and a little psyllium husk. Good luck!
