Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 750 g jacket potatoes from the previous day
- 2 onions, diced
- 30 g margarine
- 30 g flour
- 300 ml broth
- 100 ml sweet cream
- 1 bay leaf
- e.g. sausages (Wiener or Fleischwurst)
- salt and pepper
- Caraway seeds
- 1 bunch of parsley

Sauté the onion with the margarine and flour in a saucepan. Make a roux, pour in the (warm) strong broth, and bring to a boil. Add the cream and bay leaf and simmer gently for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, peel and slice the potatoes. Add the potatoes to the sauce and heat gently (they can burn easily). Slice the wieners or dice the pork sausage and fold in. Season to taste with salt and pepper and, if desired, ground caraway. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
