Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 250 g pasta (e.g. spirelli)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 100 g bacon (belly bacon)
  • 1 bell pepper(s), yellow
  • 4 carrots
  • 1 stalk(s) leek
  • 200 g cooked ham
  • 400 ml broth
  • 200 ml cream
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly cheese (Gouda)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

with carrots, leeks, peppers…

Dice the onion, bacon, bell pepper, and ham, and slice the leek and carrots. Add the onion to a pan and fry briefly with the bacon, but don’t let it overcook. Place the pasta, vegetables, onion, bacon, and ham in a casserole dish. Mix the broth with the cream and season with salt and pepper. Caution: Don’t use too much salt, as the bacon is also very salty. Pour the sauce over the pasta and bake in the oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for 50 minutes. Stir occasionally. If you like, you can also add 50g of Gouda cheese after 20 minutes and stir. Tip: I always use 100g of turkey ham instead of cooked ham and bacon. This (not turkey breast!) is very flavorful and low in calories.
