Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 4 cups milk
- 2 cups semolina
- 8 tbsp sugar
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 eggs
- ½ lemon(s), juice and grated zest
- ½ cup almonds, whole
- ½ pack of baking powder
- 1 jar cherry(s), drained
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Make a semolina porridge from milk, semolina, sugar, and salt. Remove from heat and stir in butter, one whole egg, and three egg yolks, along with the lemon zest and juice. Once cooled, fold in three beaten egg whites, baking powder, and ground almonds. Stir in the well-drained cherries. Pour everything into a greased springform pan. Bake at 180°C for approximately 50 minutes.
