Hazelnut waffles topped with honey or jam

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 40 g butter, for greasing the waffle iron
  • 4 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 200 g butter
  • 50 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ¼ liter of milk
  • 200 g flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 6 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cream the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl with a hand mixer or whisk until fluffy. Combine the mixture with the eggs and flour. Add the milk, salt, and ground nuts. Stir until smooth. Heat the waffle iron and grease with butter. Pour the batter onto the waffle surface with a ladle, close the waffle iron, and bake the nut waffles for 3 to 5 minutes until golden brown. Sift powdered sugar over the waffles. They’re especially delicious with honey or jam.
