Quark semolina casserole

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 50 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 500 g quark
  • 40 g semolina (soft wheat)
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • flavoring (vanilla or cinnamon)
  • possibly seasonal fruits

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Combine butter, sugar, egg yolks, quark, semolina, and flavoring. Mix together until smooth. Finally, stir in the baking powder. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish. You can also add fruit (cherries, pears, apples, etc.) to the casserole. Then add these to the casserole dish and pour the batter over them. The next morning, the casserole tastes great cold, sliced! Bake at 175°C for about 60 minutes until golden brown.
