  • 1 tsp, leveled salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

without yeast

Beat the eggs until frothy, then stir in the milk, oil, and quark. Mix the salt, sugar, wholemeal spelt flour, starch, psyllium husk or flaxseed flour, and baking powder together and add slowly. Be careful, the dough will be sticky. Dust your hands with flour and form 4 equal-sized balls. Flatten them slightly on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Brush the dough pieces with a little milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 160°C (320°F) on the middle rack for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown. After 15 minutes, check with a skewer to see if they’re done.
