Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g wholemeal spelt flour
  • 250 g wheat flour (type 550)
  • 50 g sesame seeds, unhulled
  • 1 sachet of dry yeast
  • 1 cup of yogurt
  • 2 tbsp beet syrup
  • 3 tbsp oil (sesame oil)
  • 2 tsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

for the bread maker

Thoroughly mix the spelt and wheat flour with the yeast and sesame seeds directly in the bread pan. In a bowl, combine the yogurt, sesame oil, salt, and sugar beet syrup and fill with lukewarm water to approximately 300 ml. Start the bread machine (setting “Dark White Bread”) and slowly add the liquid until a slightly sticky ball forms. The bread machine will do the rest in about 3.5 hours. You can also use sunflower or pumpkin seeds instead of sesame seeds. And if you want to experiment, you can use whole wheat flour instead of whole wheat spelt flour.
