Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
simple, with ready-made puff pastry
Place the puff pastry in a springform pan and pierce several times with a fork. Peel the onions, halve them, and slice them into thin strips. Fry the bacon in a pan and fry briefly, then reduce the heat to medium and add the prepared onions. Sauté for about 10 minutes, until the onions are translucent. Stir in the caraway seeds and let the mixture cool slightly. Whisk together the eggs, sour cream, 3/4 of the grated cheese, and the cream, and season with salt and pepper. Pour the onion mixture onto the pastry and smooth it down. Spread the egg and cream mixture over the dough and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Place in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) and bake for about 40 minutes. After baking, remove the pan and let stand for another 10 minutes before slicing. For the cream, mix all the ingredients together and serve with the onion tart.
