Cherry cake on a baking sheet

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 400 g quark
  • 300 ml cream
  • 350 g butter
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 2 glasses of cherries

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

First, add the sugar, vanilla sugar, and eggs to a bowl. Mix everything with a mixer until the sugar has dissolved. Then add the quark, cream, and softened butter, and mix until smooth. Once that’s done, add the flour and baking powder to the bowl. Mix everything until smooth and spread on a greased baking sheet. Drain the cherries and spread them on top. Preheat oven to 160 degrees Celsius (fan oven) and bake for 50 minutes. Note: My mom always made this cake when I was little. I always thought it was absolutely delicious, and I still do today.
