Orange-kiwi fruit spread

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 5 kiwi(s), very ripe
  • 5 oranges, very ripe
  • 3 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 5 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

with vanilla sugar

Peel the kiwi and cut into small cubes. Place the cubes in a small saucepan. Peel the oranges generously with a knife, exposing the orange flesh. Cut out the segments, leaving the inner skin between the orange segments. Collect the juice and the segments in a plate and pour everything into the saucepan. Squeeze the remaining orange core well over the pan to extract all the juice. Bring the fruit to a simmer over medium heat and, after 4-5 minutes, blend briefly with a hand blender. Do not blend the fruit completely, as small pieces remain. Be careful when blending, as hot splashes can cause burns. Add the vanilla sugar and sugar, stir well, and simmer for 8-10 minutes. Using a tablespoon, fill a sterile, boiled jar almost to the brim with the hot fruit spread and seal immediately. Allow the fruit spread to cool. This mixture makes approximately one large jar of spread. It tastes extremely delicious on a croissant with Nutella.
