Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 340 g apricot(s), fresh, ripe
  • 80 g soft dates, without stones
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Apricot jam with the sweetness of dates, suitable for Baby Led Weaning (BLW)

Wash the apricots, halve them, and remove the stones. Cut the dates into approximately 3 mm thin rings. Heat the fruit and water in a saucepan until the apricots are soft, stirring occasionally. Once the apricots are mushy, simmer for about 1 minute and allow to reduce slightly. Purée the jam with a hand blender for a few minutes until smooth. Pour the still-hot jam into a sterile jar. Store the jam in the refrigerator. This mixture yields approximately 125 ml of jam.
