Ingredients for 8 servings:
- 5 slices of toast
- 3 onions, finely chopped
- 2 bunch parsley, flat, finely chopped
- 1 kg minced beef or mixed minced meat
- 3 eggs
- 3 tbsp grainy mustard
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
Due to the oven preparation it is ideal for a large number of meatballs and is also low in fat
Soak the toast and squeeze out excess moisture. Mix all the ingredients together to make a dough. Form 18 meatballs from the dough and place them side by side in a roasting pan lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 225°C (top/bottom heat) for 15 minutes. Turn over once and bake for another 10 minutes. They also turn out great under the grill; you should rely on your own experience regarding the time and temperature, or just by eye. They should be nice and crispy all over.
