Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 packs of frozen puff pastry
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 can of chopped tomatoes (425 g)
  • Salt and pepper, black
  • 1 pack of feta cheese
  • some oregano, dried
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tbsp milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

makes 12 pieces

Thaw the puff pastry. Peel and dice the onion. Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press. Heat the oil in a pan. Fry the minced meat until crumbly. Add the onion and garlic and fry briefly. Add the tomatoes and bring to a boil. Simmer uncovered for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Roughly crumble the cheese and fold it into the minced meat mixture along with a little oregano. Let cool. Separate the egg. Cut the puff pastry into 12 squares. Brush the edges of the dough with egg white. Place a little minced meat mixture in the center of each square and fold it together. Press the edges firmly together with a fork. Place the pastry parcels on a baking sheet. Mix the egg yolk and milk. Brush the parcels with this mixture. Bake in a hot oven (top/bottom heat approx. 200°C, fan oven approx. 175°C) for about 15 minutes until golden brown. The parcels are delicious hot or cold.
