Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 large onions
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • ½ liter broth
  • 1 shot of white wine of your choice
  • Salt
  • 2 slices of white bread
  • 200 g cheese (Emmental), grated
  • some tomato paste
  • 2 garlic cloves

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

very tasty and simple

Peel the onions, slice them, and sauté until translucent. Peel and press the garlic, and add it to the soup. Dust with flour, then add the broth and white wine. Season with pepper, salt, and nutmeg. Add a little tomato paste. Ladle the soup into two ovenproof bowls. Toast the white bread, add a little butter, and cut it to cover the soup in the bowl. Sprinkle with grated Emmental cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes. When the cheese has melted nicely, the soup is ready and can be served.
