Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 100 g cheese (Gouda), medium-aged, grated
  • 2 tbsp fried onions
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp mustard, medium hot
  • 1 tsp mustard, hot
  • ½ tsp curry powder
  • 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • Salt
  • Pepper (Szechuan)
  • Sunflower oil, for frying
  • 10 tbsp breadcrumbs, for coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Mix all ingredients well. With wet hands, form small (approx. 4 cm) patties and roll them in breadcrumbs. Flatten slightly for easier turning and fry in plenty of sunflower oil. If desired, season with sweet paprika, cayenne pepper, piment d’Espelette, or chili powder.
