creamy chocolate casserole according to grandpa’s recipe
Lightly grease a baking dish. Pour the milk into a small saucepan. Break the chocolate into pieces and add it. Melt gently while stirring. Let it cool slightly and then add the vanilla essence. Cream the sugar and butter until fluffy. Sift the flour, baking powder, and 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and stir into the foam mixture. Add to the chocolate milk and mix everything with a hand mixer until a smooth batter forms. Pour the batter into the dish. For the chocolate sauce, mix 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder with the brown sugar, add a little boiling water, and mix the cocoa-sugar mixture into a smooth paste, then stir in the remaining water. Pour the sauce over the batter, but do not mix. Bake the casserole in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 40 minutes, until the surface is dry and gives slightly when pressed. Let it rest in the dish for 5 minutes and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
