Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g quark
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g sugar
  • 60 g butter, melted
  • ½ liter of milk
  • 150 g rice pudding, uncooked
  • ¼ tsp lemon peel, ground
  • 200 g sultanas
  • ⅛ liter cognac
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Grandma’s way

Mix the quark, eggs, sugar, and butter. Add the milk, rice pudding, and lemon zest. Soak the sultanas in cognac and stir in. Pour the quark mixture into a greased casserole dish and bake in a preheated oven at approximately 200°C for approximately 50 minutes. Serve with preserved fruits such as strawberries, pears, etc.
