creamy quark topping with a delicious meringue topping
Make a smooth shortcrust pastry from the dough ingredients. Line a prepared 26cm springform pan with this dough and form a rim approximately 2.5cm high. Cut the pears into strips (peel fresh pears) and place them on the cake base. For the quark topping, make a pudding from the pudding mix, milk (not 500, as indicated on the package), and sugar. Let this cool and mix with the remaining topping ingredients, then spread it over the pears. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for approximately 50 minutes. Meanwhile, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then sprinkle in the icing sugar and spread it over the cake. Bake for another 10 minutes at the same temperature. Tip: Also delicious with apples, fresh peaches, and cherries.
