Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 1 package of dough (strudel dough, approx. 120 g)
- 6 slices of cooked ham
- 500 g sauerkraut
- 1 cup sour cream
- 100 g cheese (e.g. Gouda), grated
- salt and pepper
- e.g. melted butter
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
with cooked ham
Lay out the dough (preferably on a damp kitchen towel), spread the ham on top, and top with the sauerkraut. Always leave the edges of the dough free when adding the toppings. Season the sour cream with salt and pepper and spread it over the sauerkraut, then top with the cheese. Brush the edges of the dough with butter, then roll up the strudel. Place the whole thing on a baking sheet and brush the strudel with butter. Bake in the oven at 200°C for about 30 minutes. We always serve it with a salad.
