Whole wheat spaghetti with kohlrabi

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 2 kohlrabi
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 20 g butter
  • 50 ml white wine, dry
  • 150 ml cream
  • 150 ml vegetable stock
  • 1 tsp cane sugar
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 200 g spaghetti (whole grain spaghetti)
  • 1 tbsp dill, finely chopped
  • salt and pepper

Unusually delicious

Dice the onion, peel the kohlrabi, and slice into thin sticks. Crush the garlic clove. Melt the butter and sauté the onions, garlic, and kohlrabi over low heat. Pour in the white wine and bring to a boil. Add the cream and stock and season the sauce with salt, pepper, a pinch of sugar, mustard, and lemon juice. Simmer for about five minutes; the sauce should be creamy. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions, then drain in a colander. Add the pasta to the sauce with a little of the cooking water, toss well, and serve garnished with dill.
