Bread rolls

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • n. B. Flour
  • 2 eggs
  • e.g. breadcrumbs
  • 6 dumplings (bread dumplings), bought or leftovers
  • some oil, or clarified butter, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

breaded rolls

Combine the flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs in separate bowls or deep plates. Cut the bread dumplings into 1-2 cm thick, round pieces. Coat the pieces first in flour, then in the eggs, and finally in the breadcrumbs. Fry the breaded pieces in a heated pan until golden brown on each side. My tip: Store-bought bread dumplings don’t taste as good, so I recommend Nora’s recipe (Alt – Wiener Semmelknödel), which tastes excellent!
