Lovage dumplings

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g toast bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 tbsp sour cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp lovage, chopped
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Cut the bread into cubes. Briefly foam the butter in a hot pan and let it brown. Add the eggs, sour cream, browned butter, lovage, and salt to the bread and mix well. Place the soaked mixture lengthwise on a sheet of plastic wrap and shape the dumpling dough to the desired width (about 5 cm in diameter). Carefully seal the wrap at both ends and wrap again in aluminum foil. Let it stand in boiling water for about 20 minutes, then remove from the water, then remove from the foil and slice. Serve with cabbage.
