Two-colored waffles

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g margarine
  • 125 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 g flour
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp rum
  • 4 tsp food coloring, brown, powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

makes about 10 waffles

Whisk the eggs, sugar, and margarine together to form a smooth batter. Add the vanilla sugar and rum. Add the flour and baking powder and mix. Finally, gradually stir in the milk until the batter has a smooth, soft consistency. Divide the batter in half and stir the food coloring into one half. Take two freezer bags and fill each with batter. Cut a 1cm hole in the top of each bag. Pipe a small amount of batter onto the waffle iron, alternating layers. I have a heart-shaped waffle iron, and piped a little batter into each heart. Then close the waffle iron and bake. Baking times depend on the waffle iron; mine take about 1.5 minutes. Makes about 10 waffles.
