Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg minced meat, mixed
  • 400 g peas (frozen)
  • 500 g mushrooms, fresh
  • 1 bag(s) of cheese, grated
  • 1 jar Hungarian-style paprika sauce, possibly 2 jars
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan). Clean and quarter the mushrooms. Add the minced meat, peas, mushrooms, cheese, and 1/3 jar of paprika sauce to the mixture. Transfer to a casserole dish and pre-cook in the oven for about 50 minutes. Heat the cream and the remaining gypsy sauce in a saucepan and pour over the casserole. Return to the oven for another 15 minutes. If you prefer a stronger flavor, you can also prepare the casserole with 2 jars of paprika sauce. To do this, first add 1 jar of sauce to the minced meat mixture and then heat the cream and the second jar of sauce in the pan.
