Chicken breast fillet with onion vegetables

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 chicken breast fillets
  • 4 onions
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • olive oil
  • 200 ml cream
  • 200 ml dry white wine
  • broth
  • 200 g Edam cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • Sauce thickener, light

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Peel the onions and slice them into rings. Layer the onion rings in an ovenproof dish, dust with paprika, and drizzle with olive oil. Wash and dry the chicken breast fillets, season with salt and pepper, and place them between the onion rings. Pour in the cream and wine, then add enough stock to almost cover the fillets. Cook in a preheated oven at 200°C for 30 minutes. Then remove the fillets and thicken the sauce with a sauce thickener. Add the fillets, cover with grated cheese, and cook for a further 5 minutes.
