Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g wheat (Ebly soft wheat)
  • 300 g chicken breast fillet(s) (or turkey breast)
  • 2 bell peppers, red
  • 1 can of corn
  • 150 g cheese (Gouda, can be more)
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g crème fraîche (or sour cream)
  • salt and pepper
  • some paprika powder
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Casserole with Ebly

Prepare Ebly wheat according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, wash the chicken breast fillet, pat dry, and cut into small pieces. Brown the meat in heated oil and season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Halve, trim, wash, and dice the bell peppers. Drain the corn, grate the cheese, wash the chives, and cut into small pieces. Beat the eggs with the crème fraîche until smooth and mix in half of the cheese. Add the chives. Place the cooked wheat, bell peppers, corn, and meat in a baking dish, mix thoroughly, and season with salt, pepper, and paprika to taste. Fold in the egg and cheese mixture. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes, until a golden-brown cheese crust has formed. Garnish with chives, if desired. Variation: Instead of the wheat, you can use roughly the same amount of rice.
