Savory cheese croissants

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 2 packs of dough (Knack and Bake croissants)
  • 200 g cream cheese
  • 1 pack of frozen herbs (e.g. basil) to taste
  • 3 tomatoes, firm flesh, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, diced and crushed
  • Salt
  • pepper, black
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 50 ml whipped cream
  • sesame

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

good for brunch or as a party favor

Divide the croissant dough into pre-cut triangles. Mix the cheese with herbs, tomatoes, and garlic thoroughly, and season with salt and pepper. Divide the mixture among the 12 triangles, roll them up, and place them on a baking sheet. Mix the egg yolks with the cream and brush the croissants with it. Finally, sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake at 180 degrees Celsius (top and bottom heat, or 160 degrees Celsius with fan-assisted oven) for about 15 minutes. They taste delicious warm, but can also be eaten cold.
