Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 bratwurst
  • butter
  • 250 ml beer
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • Salt
  • lemon juice
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Briefly dip the sausages in boiling water, then fry in butter until golden brown on both sides. Remove the sausages from the pan, deglaze the pan with beer, thicken the broth with cold cornstarch, and season with salt, sugar, and lemon juice. Let the sausages simmer in the sauce for 5 to 7 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes and red cabbage.
