Burger with blue cheese – Big Gonzo

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 burger bun with sesame
  • 1 burger patty made from ground beef
  • 1 piece(s) blue cheese
  • 1 onion(s), red
  • some butter
  • some sugar, brown
  • Mustard (barbecue mustard)
  • 1 leaf of iceberg lettuce
  • 1 gherkin(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Toast the sesame burger bun. Cut the blue cheese into finger-thick round slices. Finely slice the red onion, sauté in butter, and caramelize with brown sugar. Remove from the pan and cook the patty. Reduce the heat, flip the patty, add the blue cheese, and cover the pan. Bake everything for a few minutes until the cheese has melted. Meanwhile, spread the bottom half of the bun with barbecue mustard, top with iceberg lettuce and pickle slices. Then add the baked patty and the onion rings. Put the bun lid on top, and the Big Gonzo is ready.
