Kaiser vegetable casserole with smoked turkey breast

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 bag of vegetables (Kaisergemüse) frozen
  • 2 small onions
  • 1 package of hollandaise sauce
  • 500 g smoked turkey breast, whole
  • 200 g cheese, grated
  • 1 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Add the Kaisergemüse to boiling, lightly salted water and cook for about 7-8 minutes until al dente. In the meantime, peel the onions, halve them, and slice them into rings. Remove the skin from the smoked turkey breast and cut them into small cubes. Sauté the onions in a pan with the oil. When they are translucent, add the turkey breast. Drain the Kaisergemüse and place them in a casserole dish. Add the onions and turkey breast and mix lightly. Then pour on the hollandaise sauce and the cheese. Place the casserole in the oven at 200°C for about 20-25 minutes (until the cheese is golden yellow). We like to serve it with croquettes, so we have something to eat for two days and can easily reheat it in the oven.
