Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 350 g flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 50 ml oil
  • 140 ml milk
  • ½ cube of yeast
  • Fat for the mold
  • 400 ml tomato(s), strained
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp Parmesan
  • some oregano
  • some pepper from the mill
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 100g mozzarella
  • 100 g cooked ham
  • 100 g salami, hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours 10 minutes

Place the flour, salt, and sugar in a bowl. Dissolve the yeast in a little milk, then add it to the flour along with the remaining milk and oil. Knead everything into a smooth dough. Cover and let stand in a warm place until it has doubled in size. For the tomato sauce, place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix together. Roll out the dough thinly into a rectangle on a floured surface. Spread the tomato sauce on top. Cut the ham, salami, and mozzarella into pieces and spread them on top. Of course, you can also top the pizza with other ingredients; it’s a matter of taste. Now roll the dough into a sausage, starting from the long side. Cut the sausage in half lengthwise and place it with the topping side facing up. Twist both pieces together to form a cord, making sure the topping is always on top. Grease a ring pan and place the pizza in it, sealing the ends. Cover and let rise for another 40 minutes. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for approximately 40-45 minutes. Use your own oven experience to determine the best time!
