Children’s favorite food – Pizza with many variations
Roll out the pizza dough and cut into strips about 2-3 cm thick. Dice the mozzarella or use mini mozzarella balls. Form the raw bratwurst into small balls and cut the salami and ham slices into strips. Thread a piece of raw bratwurst and then a piece of mozzarella (or ham or salami) onto long wooden skewers, alternating between them. Brush the whole thing with pizza or tomato sauce and sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan. Wrap the pizza dough strips around the dough, spread a little tomato sauce on top and sprinkle with Parmesan. Place the skewers in a hot oven at around 200°C (convection oven) for around 10-15 minutes, until they are nice and crispy. Tip: So far, I’ve only made the skewers with cooked ham, salami, and raw bratwurst, but I can also imagine them with salmon or vegetables. And if you want a Margherita pizza, simply omit the filling and wrap the dough around the wooden skewer. Then spread with sauce, place very thin slices of mozzarella on top, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. This serving is for 4 children.
