Chocolate pretzels

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g wheat flour type 405
  • 400 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 120 g butter
  • 100 g cocoa powder
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • some flour for the work surface
  • 1 large lemon(s)
  • 100 g powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 14 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 4 minutes

Place all ingredients in a large bowl and knead well until smooth. Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for about 20 minutes. Then unwrap the dough and roll it out on a lightly floured surface. I roll it out to a thickness of about 3-4 mm, but this can be varied. Preheat the oven to 160°C (top/bottom heat). Cut out the rolled-out dough using cookie cutters. Your imagination is the limit here. Place the cut-out cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in the oven for 13-14 minutes. Once the chocolate pretzels have cooled, cover them with lemon icing. To do this, mix the icing sugar with the juice of one lemon in a small bowl until smooth and lump-free, then brush the icing onto the cookies.
