Colorful gyros and tzatziki

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 350 g schnitzel meat
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp spice mix (gyro spice)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 zucchini
  • ½ red bell pepper(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 small loaves of bread (pita bread)
  • 250 g quark
  • ½ cup cream
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 garlic
  • ¼ cucumber(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Cut the meat into thin strips, marinate with oil and gyro seasoning. Combine the quark and cream, and season with salt. Finely chop 1 clove of garlic. Peel and finely grate the cucumber, add it to the quark mixture along with the garlic, and chill. Peel and finely dice the onion. Thinly slice the zucchini. Thinly slice the bell pepper. Sear the meat and add the vegetables, sautéing gently. Season with salt, pepper, and 1 clove of garlic. Prepare the pita bread according to the instructions and serve with the dish.
