Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 bell peppers, yellow and red
- 1 onion(s)
- 200 g matjes fillet(s), Nordic style
- 1 cup of yogurt
- ½ cup sour cream
- 3 tbsp parsley, chopped
- 3 tbsp chives, chopped
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- salt and pepper
- 1 dashes lemon juice
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Dice the bell peppers, onion, and herring. Mix the yogurt, sour cream, herbs, and vinegar to make the sauce. If you like, you can use the whole container of sour cream. Mix everything together and season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. The salad doesn’t need to marinate for long; it’s delicious immediately. For a variation, chop up half an apple and mix it in. Serve with boiled potatoes, fresh country bread, or black bread.
