Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

For the pizza dough, mix flour, yeast, a generous pinch of salt, about 150 ml of water, and oil in a bowl and knead into a smooth dough. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and let the dough rise for about 45 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Sauté in oil and add the chopped tomatoes. Reduce the sauce over medium heat and season with salt and pepper. Preheat the oven to 250°C (220°C with fan). Remove the dough from the bowl, knead briefly again, and roll it out on a floured work surface to the desired size. The baking tray must either be greased or use baking paper. Now you just need to shape the edges of the baking tray into a bulge. Spread the tomato sauce over the dough and top the pizza as desired. In Pizza Hut style, you can roll some of the pizza cheese into the crust, which makes it nice and fluffy and tastes even better.
