Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 500 g flour
- 150 g sugar
- 110 g coconut oil
- 80 g cream cheese
- 110 g butter
- 1 egg(s)
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp almond flavoring
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 7 servings of food coloring, yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, blue, green
- Sugar decoration (decorative pearls) and glitter powder as desired
Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours 42 minutes
Combine butter, cream cheese, and coconut oil. Add sugar and flour, mix. Add egg and almond extract, mix, and finally add flour and starch. Knead well. Let the dough rest in plastic wrap for at least 1 hour. Then divide the dough into 7 equal parts and color each part in one of the colors. Divide each colored dough into 7 equal parts and roll into balls. Let the balls rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Roll one ball of each color into a “sausage” (approx. 20 to 25 cm). Place 4 colored rolls next to each other. Place the other 3 colored rolls on top of the 4 adjacent rolls. Gently press together and roll slightly. Then twist the ends in the opposite direction to create a slight spiral pattern. Finally, form “mounds” with a nice “tip” at the end and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. If you like, you can sprinkle the cookies with decorative pearls or something similar. I apply glitter powder after baking. Bake for approximately 12 minutes at 190°C (top/bottom heat) in a preheated oven (please watch closely, as the tops can darken quickly). The cookies taste best after 2 days.
