Mediterranean flavors meet crispy perfection
Heat the milk and yeast on the stovetop until the yeast dissolves. Add the butter and let it melt. Combine the flour, salt, and sugar and make a well in the center. Pour the milk, yeast, and butter mixture into the well and knead into a smooth dough, kneading vigorously for at least 5 minutes. Let the dough rest at room temperature for one hour. Divide the dough into three equal pieces, roll each piece into an oblong flatbread (approximately 25 cm long and 7 cm wide), roll them up, and place them on a baking sheet. Let the dough rise for another 40 minutes. Brush the dough rolls with the beaten egg and sprinkle generously with sesame seeds and oregano. While the baguettes are baking, place a bowl of water in the oven and bake them at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for 17-20 minutes. Make sure the baguettes are golden brown and crispy.
