Chicken in puff pastry with special sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g chicken fillet(s)
  • Fat, for frying
  • Chicken seasoning
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • Pepper, colorful
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 500 g mushrooms
  • 500 ml Hollandaise sauce, 8% fat
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 275 g puff pastry, from the refrigerated section
  • 200 g mozzarella, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Cut the chicken fillet into small pieces and fry in the fat in the pan. Season the meat with chicken seasoning, paprika, and pepper. Slice the mushrooms and dice the onions. When the chicken fillet is cooked, remove the fillet pieces from the pan and place them in a greased casserole dish. Briefly sauté the onions in the same pan in the fat. Add the mushrooms and fry until the juices have almost evaporated. Add the hollandaise sauce, stir, and season with cinnamon. Bring to a boil briefly and pour over the meat. Place the puff pastry on top and sprinkle with mozzarella. Bake for about 20 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) until the cheese is golden brown.
