Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 large roll from the previous day
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 300 g minced meat, mixed
  • 200 g pork mince
  • 1 small egg(s)
  • 3 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika powder
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 8 small eggs
  • 80g Gouda

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees fan-assisted. Soak the bread roll in cold water. Peel and finely dice the onion. Squeeze the dry ingredients from the bread roll and mix with the minced meat, ground pork, an egg, onions, and mustard. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Form the mixture into eight patties. Arrange on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in the oven for about 25 minutes. Heat the olive oil in a pan. Fry the bacon in it, then remove from the pan. Top each patty with a fried egg. Place the bacon on top. Grate the Gouda cheese and sprinkle over the top. Bake in the oven for one to two minutes. Serve with fried potatoes.
