Grandma's potato salad

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes, cooked, small
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 50 g mayonnaise
  • pepper
  • Salt
  • some vinegar
  • possibly cucumber(s)
  • possibly cucumber juice
  • possibly egg(s)
  • possibly cheese

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Boil the potatoes with their skins on, peel, and slice into 3-5 mm thick slices. Dice the onion and mix everything with salt and pepper. If desired, you can add vinegar; my grandmother always used the pickle juice from pickled gherkins and also diced a few. Then simply mix in the mayonnaise. Homemade mayonnaise is especially delicious—there’s a recipe in the database. If desired, you can add hard-boiled eggs or pieces of cheese.
