Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 schnitzels
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 tsp vegetable stock powder
  • 1 handful of fried onions
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 200 ml sour cream
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some flour
  • some breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • some fat for sautéing the onions

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Peel and finely chop the onion, and sauté it in a little fat. Mix the vegetable stock powder with the fried onions and cornstarch. Then stir in the cooled onions from the pan. If you need a quick version, simply use a packet of onion soup mix. Mix the onions, sour cream, and cream. Prepare three plates. In one, beat the egg. In the second, mix the flour with salt, pepper, and paprika. Place the breadcrumbs on the third. First coat the schnitzels in the flour, then dip them in the egg, and finally coat them thoroughly with the breadcrumbs. Place the schnitzels in a greased baking dish, pour the sauce over them, and bake at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for 30 minutes.
