Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 chicken breast fillets, 150 g each
  • 2 onions
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • ¼ tsp ginger powder
  • ½ tbsp curry powder
  • ¼ tsp paprika powder
  • 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp mango chutney
  • 400 ml vegetable stock or chicken stock
  • 150 g crème fraîche
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Exotic flavors come together

Rinse the chicken breast fillets under cold water and pat dry. Cut the fillets into 2 cm pieces. Peel and dice the onions. Crush the garlic. Mix the ginger, flour, paprika, curry, and cayenne pepper. Toss the chicken pieces in this spice mixture. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large pan and fry the meat for 5 minutes. Add the onions and garlic after 3 minutes. Add the mango chutney and deglaze with vegetable broth or chicken stock. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add the crème fraîche and season with salt, pepper, sugar, and lemon juice. Basmati rice goes best with this dish.
