Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter, soft
  • 125 g sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 4 hours 10 minutes

Danish cookies

Combine the fat and sugar. Add the egg and beat until frothy. Combine the flour, baking powder, and seasoning. Stir half of the flour mixture into the dough, then knead in the rest. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for about 3 hours. Then roll out and cut out round cookies. Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle with sugar. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) or 180°C (350°F)/fan for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
