Bean ragout with meatballs

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g beans (green beans, frozen)
  • 300 g minced meat
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 250 ml Hollandaise sauce (ready-made product or homemade)
  • Margarine, for frying
  • possibly broth, instant powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cook the broad beans in boiling salted water, then place them in a sieve to drain, reserving about 1/8 liter of the cooking water. While the beans are cooking, prepare the meatballs from the ground beef, egg, diced onion, salt, nutmeg, and pepper. Form into walnut-sized balls and fry in margarine. Pour in a little of the cooking liquid and cook for about 5 minutes. Then stir in the hollandaise sauce and season to taste, adding a little instant bouillon powder if desired. Finally, fold in the cooked beans. Boiled potatoes go very well with this. All my quantities are guidelines; I almost always cook by feel.
