Rice with flavor

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 serving of rice (preferably Basmati)
  • some margarine or oil
  • some tomato sauce or salsa, ketchup, sweet and sour sauce, etc.
  • some salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Student leftovers

Heat margarine or butter in a pan. Add the rice and fry until crispy. Season with salt and sauté with your chosen sauce (salsa is my favorite) until it reaches the desired consistency. This dish is a great way to use up leftover rice or sauce, or to use up leftovers in general. The basic recipe isn’t particularly nutritious, but it doesn’t cost more than 20 cents per serving. Tip: Feel free to add other ingredients like bell peppers, corn, leeks, sausage strips, frozen vegetables, etc.
