Spätzle schnitzel towers

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 150 g spaetzle
  • salt water
  • 2 pork schnitzels
  • 1 tomato(s)
  • 6 spring onions
  • 150 g cheese (raclette cheese)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • Butter for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Cook the spaetzle in plenty of salted water. Meanwhile, season the schnitzel, coat with egg and breadcrumbs, and fry. Then slice the tomato and raclette cheese, and slice the spring onions. Grease a baking dish and arrange the spaetzle in it. Sprinkle some of the cheese on top. Layer the schnitzel, tomato slices, and spring onions on top, then top with the cheese. Bake everything at 180°C for about 10 minutes. This also makes a great vegetarian dish by topping the spaetzle with a few more tomatoes and blanched vegetables (e.g., broccoli, green beans, leeks, etc.).
