Maultaschen and bacon gratin

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g Maultasche(s)
  • 250 ml cream
  • 200 g cheese, grated
  • 200 g bacon
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • e.g. basil, dried
  • some oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

quick and easy

Cut the Maultaschen into strips and arrange them in a small baking dish. Dice the onions, garlic, and bacon and sauté them in a little oil. Pour the cream over the Maultaschen and season with salt, pepper, and dried basil. Spread the onion, garlic, and bacon mixture on top and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 10 minutes, first covering with aluminum foil. Then remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes to allow the cheese to crisp up.
